About the East German logistics region
The heart of the East German logistics region is the Schkeuditz motorway junction, which provides a direct connection to the neighbouring international airport. The DHL air freight hub at Leipzig Airport also helps to make the region an important international gateway. The area has also developed into a strategically important location for logistics service providers due to the presence of numerous large industrial companies. The logistics sites in this region are also used by retail and e-commerce businesses.
