Fake Swiss Life saving accounts and fake investments in silver
Fraudsters claiming to represent Swiss Life Asset Management GmbH (Germany) and misusing the Swiss Life Asset Managers logo, Swiss Life Group logo, AMF registration number (AMF: GP-07000055) as well as misleading e-mail accounts (XXXX@swiss-life-am.com) are conducting a scam over the phone concerning investments in:
- fake saving accounts ("Contrat de Gestion Livret Epargne Swiss Life" or "Swiss Life Epargne") offering guaranteed returns (0.5% per month or 6% annually per account) with contributions by Swiss Life,
- investment contracts for precious metals (mainly silver) offering guaranteed returns in excess of 10% with reference to the UK Financial Control Authority - FCA logo.
The guaranteed returns are not related to the market conditions.
These fraudsters may e-mail you citing a telephone number/ XXXX@swiss-life-am.com with fake contract documents. They normally work over the telephone and are likely to suggest a call at a specific time - then they send a confirmation e-mail.
When the time comes to make the payment, the fraudsters open a bank account in your name for the payment. The bank accounts are opened at French or foreign banks (possibly an account with prepaid bank cards).
